Instant Screening Test

The screening test is an instant test to get a yes/no result we can perform on-site. Ideal for pre-purchase inspections, auction inspections, change of tenancy expectations & during tenancy inspections.

The advantages of this test is

• The cheapest option to check for meth
• The fastest results
• 93% Accurate

Do NOT use this option if you believe there is meth contamination.

The limitations of this testing method are

• If meth is found the 7% margin for error is not acceptable in court. You will be up for extra charges in discreet individual lab test.
• Does not give levels of contamination, just a positive/negative result
• There is a 7% margin of error for false positives & incorrect negatives

Lab Composite Testing

A Lab Composite test is a cross between a screening test and the gold standard discreet individual lab test. We test every room and send to the lab for results. The lab tests them all and gives a single composite result for the entire property. If meth is discovered, the lab keeps the samples for a short period. Extra testing charges apply but we can request the lab go back and test & provide results on each room.

Advantages of this test

• Lab tests are 100% accurate
• If you suspect meth has been used this method can actually work out cheaper as we dont ned to come back to re-test.

Disadvantages of this test

• If meth is found further testing expenses to determine individual levels of rooms
• Results take around 3 days

Discreet Individual Testing

This is the gold standard of testing. Each room is tested & analysed separately in the lab. Results are given for each space. If a instant screen tests positive at any point you will need to upgrade to this test to begin remediation.

If you know there has been meth in the property, this is the test to start with.

Advantages of this test

• 100% Accurate & the test that is required for legal purposes.

Disadvantages of this test

• This is the most expensive test to do
